OTL#101 - We remember Mike "Loco" Locatelli

Mike Locatelli passed away peacefully at his Soquel home on February 21, 2007, following a 15 year battle with multiple brain tumors. He was 46 years old. Mike was born in Santa Cruz and from an early age, loved the outdoors, especially the ocean. He graduated from Harbor High School in 1978 and went into business at the early age of 19, where he owned and operated Portola Surf Shop. Following his diagnosis of a brain tumor in 1992, he sold the surf shop and went to work for O'Neill Surf Shop, where he made many dear friends and associates; remaining there for the rest of his career in the surfing industry.... to this day he remains one of the most delightful, respected, and most loved characters of the Santa Cruz Surf Community.
 

OTL#99 - Anne-Marie Reichman

Anne-Marie Valeria Reichman was born in Leeuwarden, the northern province of the Netherlands, and got addicted to surfing on her travels. By doing what she loves to do most, she wants to motivate and inspire everyone to follow their dreams and passions in life. Her motto being: “Dream of life, live your dream”. 

OTL#98 - Shane Desmond

Shane is one of the most respected backside surfers in Mavericks history, having fearlessly surfed there since the mid 1990's and earned a runner up finish in the 2010 contest in some of the biggest waves ever seen there.
